Numbing

Like waves crashing against the shores in slow motion,
The fog comes rolling in.
It caresses, soothes and lulls the the storm.
It feels almost like heaven.

(Only almost)

Around her, it twines its silken thread of wispy white,
Cocooning her in its seductive apathy.
Its never day nor is it night,
Simply just an in between.
She never felt the tender tendrils of cotton around her neck.
It was all a silent suffocation.
