Present to Past

What is past is past
But what is past is present
And its shadow over us it does cast.

Due to you, we're the boat without a mast
But still many oceans we have passed
Though we have been surpassed.
Yet,still we rowed fast.

So now you want to board our boat,
And not even giving a single cent
Because you say do forgive as what's past is past.

But I say whats past is also present,
And its shadow over us it still casts.
To seek forgiveness is never your intention,
for I see it through the mouth but not actions.
